DID YOU KNOW? Looking weird has its perks. Hammerhead sharks' broad, flat, hammer-shaped heads are called cephalofoils, and no other creature in the world has a head quite like it. Hammerheads, like all other sharks, have sensory organs that can detect the electric fields of prey in the water; some scientists hypothesize that the broad cephalofoils allow hammerheads to have more of these organs—therefore allowing them to better sense prey. Easy Sunday Club is a collection of art, greeting cards, and baby goods that combine fine art aesthetics with playfulness and educational values. I founded ESC in 2016 while craving a creative outlet outside my technical corporate job. I taught myself watercolor through daily practice and it soon became my favorite form of self expression. My watercolor designs, although expressive and playful, are thoughtfully conceptualized to bring personality and levity to common subjects like a cactus or uncommon subjects like a narwhal. The ESC portrays a sea turtle - which symbolizes patience and longevity, with its tail loosely resembling the bristles of a paintbrush. ESC is still evolving, but what will not change are the values that I hold dearly which affect how I operate personally as well how I run my business: integrity, empowerment, experimentation, and consistency. If you are interested in carrying my products, please place an order via Handshake or email me if you have any questions.
