Mightly makes Organic and Fair Trade Certified clothes for kids ages 2 to 12. Mightly was founded by three moms in Oakland, California who together have two boys, four girls and forty years of apparel industry experience. We founded Mightly in order to make the kind of clothes we want for our own kids: clothes that can handle every kind of adventure, are ethically made and don't cost a fortune.
Unlike most apparel companies, Mightly uses a completely transparent supply chain. We know our factory, their suppliers and where our organic cotton is grown. But just knowing isn't enough, certification matters too. Our partner factory is certified to Fair Trade USA's factory standard for labor conditions and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) for environmental practices.
All of our products are made from certified organic cotton that is GMO-free and grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. While all organic cotton is better for the planet, not all organic is the same. Mightly uses organic cotton from Chetna Organic Farmers Association. Chenta is a farmer-owner nonprofit that works with smallholder farming families in India to make farming a sustainable and profitable occupation. The farming practices used by Chetna farmers do not damage the soil and use 71% less water and 62% less energy that conventional cotton farming.
